This is so interesting: Maurice called me last Friday. Wanted me to do a closing on 7/20 (tomorrow). Made it sound like he could throw a lot of business my way because the lady they normally used moved to Florida and he liked to deal with just a few select people rather than a bunch. Checked NotRot and there was really nothing on Coversign so I asked him if I could get some references, particularly from the lady who moved to Florida. He said: I guess so, I'll see if she wants to talk to you. He then proceeded to tell me how much he could pay for the signing he needed tomorrow. My fee was slightly higher but he said ok and told me I'd have to sign up on their website. I said I would, and was taking the signing pending the reference and that I would look for his confirmation via email. And that, Judy, is the last I hear from him: no confirmation, no call. So of course I was not planning on closing for him tomorrow and then I saw your post. I don't think it sounds too good and I am very sorry.
