Nope, no experience but I did sign up and test with Maverick...for months now, w/o a call for work.
Some of my FL NSA Network co-members have done these, says it is no big deal.

I don't know that you paid to sign with them - you had to take their paid training....I was skeptical about this aspect of the signing business so I didn't look any further - there may have been a fee to be listed but I don't recall seeing that.
