Bad Company

Has any one done any signings for a company out of California called Sign on the X, Inc.??
I am passing along a WARNING do not do signings for this company. Unfortunantely I did not check with their BBB in Aliso Viejo, California and accepted 3 signings in May and June 07. They are rated F, with over 469 complaints in 06-07. When I call to speak with their accounts payable I get a message with a promise to return a call within 48 hours. That was 3 weeks ago and still waiting for a response after 3 mores left messages and an email with all pertinent invoices and plea for response. Enough said! Sent them to collections through NNA.

You are preaching to the choir

Do a search here for sign on the x or sox, and you will see the forest through the trees.

Do a search on this board, you will find volumes of non-payment postings. They have been bad for years.

Also with how bad it is right now and how desperate people are becoming you might want to do a little research before you accept any assignment.

Make this makes me a jerk... but I have no sympathy...

for people who don't get paid by Sox. Serves them right for taking the job in the first place.

I finally received payment, but had to break the rules...

I was also punked by SOX, prior to discovering NotRot...what a blessing!!! I broke the rules and went to LendingTree/Home Loan Center, sending an email to every name I could find on their board of directors via their company website. It worked, not only did the V.P. of Vendor Relations call me, I got an email from the owner(???) of SOX and payment was soon to follow. I also filed a complaint with the BBB and much to my amazement they respond to those quickly (seems like such a waste of time) and in their response to my complaint they said that I was harassing them....omg....I just had to LOL!!!! My advice, don't waste your time playing nice, it doesn't work!

Re: I finally received payment, but had to break the rules...

They break the rule! Their contract and confirmation and anything else in print states how they pay, and so on. They break all their own rules, and do not play nice w/them - it does no good

I found this website re: SOX. They make them sound so good. I wonder if they got paid for
all their work.
I hope the link works.

Why are they still around?

It makes me sad that good companies go down, and reptiles like SUX stays afloat. But then again, I would stay afloat too if I never paid anyone and kept all the money for myself.
