Beware of National Real Estate Information Services
I did a job for them on 4/21/07 and have yet to be paid as of 7/5/07. I have made numerous calls only to have everyone in charge pass me around to another. I was told they would stop pmt in 10 days since they apparently mailed me a check on 5/16/07…. Which was already past the 10 days to stop pmt on the check. As of 7/5/07 after speaking to Dave Love (again), he tells me I need to speck to Jason Gold (whom I have left messages with, without a return call), but he was on vacation till Mon 7/9/07. Dave Love at least knew that they were “still planning” on stopping pmt on the check…. I would think that it is a little late for that if they haven’t done so by 7/5/07 (2 ˝ + months later)! Apparently they are having a “Red Tape Problem”. Another Notary here in town SA, TX, is having the same problem getting paid on 2 jobs & getting the same story as I am. Beware of National Real Estate Information!

Re: National Real Estate Information Services
I would hardly call them a great company. They announced a $90 edoc fee a year ago and don't seem to have budged

Are you in a rural area?

Re: National Real Estate Information Services
Yes, and now that I think about it, that might be why they meet my fees.

Re: National Real Estate Information Services
I have done many signing NREIS in the past as well with no problems and so has the other notary that is having the same problems and excuses with 2 of her sigings with them in that same month. We are in San Antonio, TX, not rural. This was a 80/20 loan, E-docs, closed 4/21, (the loan has long since closed and funded), and I did have to drive extra miles but, they "offered" a decent fee and received confirmation.... but with all the hassles and "tons" of phone calls to get it resolved... I am in the "red"! Hopefully none of you will have problems in the future with them... but I have decided I do not want to work with them any longer because of the evasive responses and passing me around to so many in their company and "promised" return phone calls without so much as a "courtesy call" from any of them. I am very aware that things happen and delays occur and I can deal with it, but... this has went over the top for me. If they haven't even received their canceled checks by now... 7/5/07 + still planning on canceling the check on 7/5/07.... and another notary here in SA is having problems with payment on 2 signings.... I still say "Beware"........

I don't accept edoc assignments from them since they can't meet my fee. I do accept modification signings that can be scheduled at my convenience when the borrower receives documents. I've never had a problem collecting payment from them.

No problems, pays my fee, pays as agreed and on time
You've gotten caught in a "pass the buck" loop, it seems, and that can be a real hassle. Normally NREIS is great to work for. Unfortunately your problem is one that happens with other companies too. Once payment falls outside their "standard" and automatic procedure, it's a PITA to get to the right person with the necessary authority to step outside the "accepted and approved" assembly-line procedure to get it taken care of. Good luck!

Never had a problem with payment. Jason Gold is a supervisor and he is very prompt with making sure payments are posted in the system. You might try contacting the settlement agent as well. NREIS pays faithfully on the 15th and 30th of each month.
