Beware of Ultimate Signing Service
I performed a signing on April 25, 2007 for Ultimate Signing Service-Mission Viejo, CA and took a second signing from them on May 16,2007 because they normally pay in a timely fashion. I have received NO payment for either assignment. I have repeatedly called and left messages that are not returned. One time I did reach a person in accounts payable, Kelly, who said they would "put me at the top of the list to be paid" (UH, what about the other people before me?). I have emailed invoices (they do not provide a fax number). I have snail mailed a Certified Return Receipt inquiry letter and invoice that was accepted. No Response!
I'm very disappointed, because it was always a pleasure to do business with them and payment was usually delivered with in 3-4 weeks. Unfortunately, I will not be taking assignments from them in the future.

Update: Beware of Ultimate Signing Service
I spoke to title co. the day I posted the last message and asked that they contact USS on my behalf. Two days later, I left a message on USS's voicemail (they were not picking up or returning my calls) that if I didn't hear from them by the end of the day, I'd take that to mean they would not mind if I started filing complaints with the BBB, SOS and another relavent agency I could think of.
Got two calls from them, one saying they "sent the check out yesterday" Right! I did, however, receive the check in three business days, paiding the agreed to fees, but not the late fee.
Satisfied, but why should a person have to go such great lengths to get compensated for services provided. Maybe a "security deposit" or a discount for early payment for new customers might be an option. (?)
