Borrower not providing alternate numbers
One very good reason for a borrower NOT to provide alternate numbers is the frustration I've experienced in my FT job -- telemarketers calling multiple times per day (6 times yesterday alone) for an employee. They've called again 3 times today -- AFTER being told not to call anymore & to remove this number from their lists.
The last guy to call here got an earfull from me & then proceeded to call back & ask for me by name trying to sell me on refinance!!
No wonder why 1) borrowers don't provide anything other than a cell or home number and 2) when you do call someone at a work number, the secretary chews your head off that they can't take personal calls at work...which is why I always call a home number first & leave a message rather than irritate their employer -- unless it is specifically requested that the contact be made at a work or cell number.

Problem is, many home numbers not good, or people
just don't reply to the voice mails. Haven't you run into people who say we haven't had that number for 2 years? We only have cell phones?

Put yourself on the "Do Not Call" list.
It should stop all the solicitations EXCEPT from charitable organizations.

and those taking surveys, looking for opinions, etc. What a joke that list turned out to be. I turned my home phone to fax and do not answer anything anymore.
