Borrower's e-mail address

In today's tech world, we would think that they would include in the confirmation the borrower's e-mail address. This would be another avenue for us to reach them. Tonight, I had 2 closings. I tried to confirm with a borrower for tomorrow before I left. No answer, no machine, no cell number given. I tried again in between closings, nothing. Its now too late to try again as it was after 10 when I got home. Chances are, I won't get them during the day tomorrow because of work (no number either). It would be so nice to have an e-mail address for a back up. I have never had a confirmation that included one. I realize that a lot of people still don't have it and that's fine. But, a lot do. Anyone else?

I had the same issue going on since last week on Friday. Phone numbers for home and work. I tried all weekend. No one home and a man with a heavy accent at place of employment stated not to call back because the person is not known there. Title company, LO and Signing Service did not have any other info for borr. How this loan was scheduled to close is beyond me.

So today I went to the closing and would you believe it .....my M.I.A. borrowers showed up to the closing all smiley faced. They never explained why they did not respond to calls or anything else. Just signed and said goodnight. Amazing!!!!! and the son has e-mail, so no one thought to get it. DUH!!!!

I'm glad they showed up for you and got it done. You got lucky. This isn't the first time and I'm sure won't be the last that I can't reach them. A lot of employers don't allow personal phone calls unless an emergency either. In today's world, an e-mail address should be as common as a phone number, cell or landline. JMO

that would be nice... another way to contact someone when we are not given the correct numbers.... and when on the road and you call... and they have the recording "this phone does not take blocked calls" well, I have my cell blocked for safety reasons so any schmo that calls does not have all my personal info............

blocked calls

I don't bother with blocking my phone number. That way I can access more borrowers, and if someone calls me if I don't like, I just say "good-bye". In 7 years, it has never been a problem. In fact, I tell my SS, "just give my phone number out to whomever you need to so the borrowers can call me".
