I have had nearly every provider in here in SW FL, but only Verizon was able to provide me with a good signal. The downside to Verizon (IME) is that sometimes, on Fridays, I don't always get the call....and those VM's don't show up until Mondays.
That happening is infrequent, and much less frequent than the lost calls w/ ATT and Alltel.

I use Metro pcs. I pay like 50.00 a month and I get unlimited minutes and I can call anywhere in the US. Works for me.

Linda,

I also would like to change providers. I have AT&T (Cingular) and my reception is lousy. They promote the least dropped calls but you have to get connected before you can get dropped. I am in the Orlando Area.

I had Cingular in CT and dropped them for Nextel, who is now Sprint - my husband couldn't call me from 3 miles away when we had Cingular. With Nextel I have decent luck with a signal for the most part but since my contract is up thought I'd get some feedback here while I shop around.

Thanks all for your input.

Linda I use Alltel and love 'em! They will work with you if you need to change plans. They offer 10 free numbers and plenty of minutes. I have crossed Florida north, south, east and west with no problems.

Have you tried?

http://www.cellreception.com/

This will list by zip code the towers that are near you and where they are scheduled for the future.
