Companies that don't pay

Has anyone else had any trouble getting companies to pay for signings that you have done? SOX owes me a lot of money and everytime I talk to someone new they say they will pay me if I sent them copies of all my invoices so I do and still have not received payment. I am ready to turn them over to collections does anyone else have any suggestions?

Use the Orange Search button at the top of this page...

and input SOX or Sign on the X.
Frankly, if they owe you "alot" of money, I wonder how thoroughly you researched before beginning your business as an NSA. That you accepted work from them at all answers my question.
Good luck collecting from SOX.

I guess you are new to this forum. File a complain with BBB first. Worked for me.

Yep, I notice they are called "SUX" on this forum.

BBB got my money from them too, then, thankfully, they never called me back. I guess they were pretty mad at me for making them let go of their money.

When you are a newbie, take a weekend and start going through the archives and learning.
There is a wealth of information here. This is an expensive lesson for you

Laurie, as hard as it may be to believe...

some of us did our research on this business before we jumped in including scouring the various fora avialable on the world wide web. I have never taken work from SOX and some of the other non-paying companies thanks to some of the people on this site. It is all here, on Notary Rotary, everything you need to know to run your business: all you need to do is take a little time and read.

Re: Will these newbies ever learn??? It's Amazing...

Laurie,

Sit down right now and begin reading all the notary boards you can find. There are more than just SOX that are going to give you payment problems. There is information 5 years old concerning non-payment issues with SOX, so that tells us that you did not do any research. Research is something you need to do whether you are moving to a new neighborhood, are ill and want to get a second opinion on a doctor, buying a car and even starting a new business ......
