How does one collect from SOX Signing Solutions?

Since I haven't been successful in collecting, I called FIC a collection agency and they wouldn't take it as they already have over 80 for SOX. How can they keep cheating us and getting away with it? How do we stop this?

Short of sending over the boys in the pin stripe suits...

I recommend you read the board, use the search button and don't take anymore work from them.

Generally, one doesn't.

>>>How can they keep cheating us and getting away with it?<<<

They get away with it because the NNA keeps churning out newbie NSAs that don't have a lick of business sense.

>>>How do we stop this?<<<

Just say NO!

I got a check from SOX today!

This was for a November 2006 signing. Per advice from this board and from a local notary I contacted the lender on Monday. Within 2 hours I had a call from SOX and a commitment that a check was on the way. It arrived today (Friday, July 27th). Now I'm waiting to make sure it clears.

Call the title company that uses them till they recgonize your voice and tire of you kvetching about your outstanding bill. Then keep calling until they as Sox's paymasters force the issue and get you paid. That's why you have all those minutes on your cell or if you're lucky you can call on their 800 # till you get staisfaction.

One other thing is to find the Ceo/Owner of the title company and start on him/her. I had one company that played with me till I went out on the web and saw a news article about the promotion of this guy to CEO. Called for him by name explained what the underlings were doing and how I am sure he didn't want or need me calling him or his assistant twice a day. He agreed and I was paid in 3 days, it's your money bare the claws and start fighting.

I received payment immediately after contacting

Debbie Vladic, President of SOX at 888-744-6481x30 or [e-mail address]. I also sent an email and left a voicemail for James Pittenger, V.P. of Vendor Relations with Home Loan Center (LendingTree). Once I got past the gatekeepers at SOX (and there are many) and got through to Debbie, she was very apologetic and I had my payment (which was substantial as I conducted 21 closings for them in Jan07) in less than one week.

Need to get the local news to do an I team investigation and have them contact some of the lenders that SOX represents. Also send letters to the lenders that SOX represents. Send it to HUD as well.

Increase the pressure.

Good idea, but who is going to increase the pressure on them. They are comfortable operating this way and they find it very profitable. In the early years, they were an honest company. But they changed along the way.

I reported them to the BBB . . .

I got the check, and SOX never called me again.

You can't. Your best bet is go to the Title and the LO and tell them. They can set a fire under SOX. It works more often then not.
Here is why. In Oregon if someone hires a Contractor that they know is bad, who hires a Subcontractor who does not get paid. Both party's benefited so the Title Co and or Loan Co and the SS are all responsible to make sure that the Subcontractor is paid. In short the Title Co and or the Loan Co usually will sets a fire under the SS Co. "IMHO" this is the best way to handle the matter of un paid signing fee's. You may even gain a professional relationship from a phone call.

An IRS audit would do them in, because they don't pay anyone, I am sure their books are all screwed up and they are claiming they make less than they do. Can you see them paying anyone to do their taxes - Ha!
