Husband and Wife sign RTC on different dates

Last night I had a signing for the non-borrowing husband only, he signed his RTC and I am to FedEx the docs to the wife (borrower) today. I printed out extra copies of the RTC for her.

The husband had one transaction date and rescission date and the wife had another. According to NREIS, this is correct.

I am posting this as an FYI and for future searches regarding the topic.

Different RTC dates are always the case with split signings in different areas. I trust you had him sign the mortgage/riders and TIL as well, and notarized accordingly.

Notary #2 should attch a loose ack to the MTG with the appropriate date, unless the wife has a separate notary block.

Nothing new here, but thanks for noting it.

In most cases NBS also signs the HUD, Document Correction/Fees Due Agreement and Itemization of Amount Financed and many require he sign off on ALL title docs (documents relating to the property - Owner's Aff, Survey Aff, Marital Aff, etc., etc.) JMHO

"and many require he sign off on ALL title docs (documents relating to the property - Owner's Aff, Survey Aff, Marital Aff, etc., etc.)"

should read: and many require BOTH sign off on ALL title docs (documents relating to the property - Owner's Aff, Survey Aff, Marital Aff, etc., etc.)

Yes, there were other documents he had to sign, but the topic was specifically the RTC because I had not come across the situation before and wasn't sure exactly whether he had 3 days from when he signed or from when borrower signed. I was just clarifying that I found the answer and this is what you do!

I apologize - I misread your post - I thought you were saying he signed only the RTC..
