Did a job over a month ago, and have not been paid yet. Offered another job several days ago, but won't work for them until they pay me what they already owe. Just a heads up to everyone that they seem to be slow paying. This was the first job I did for them. I read on other boards where they paid quickly. Apparently that has changed.

Are you referring to the MCMS out of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey?

I did a closing for them first of April. I have for 3 weeks been talking to the bookkeeper Lynn about payment. The last conversation last week I was given a check number. Still no check. Will not accept another job from this company. When you call a company and they are not proactive about payment ( some will overnight the check) then pay attention prospective notary.

Wow I'm surprised. I havent done much work for them; however, never had a problem with payment when I did. Maybe i was lucky or it helped that I was so close to them that I could knock on their door if I didnt get paid in a timely fashion? I don't know. Glad to hear you received your check. On a side note, did you see unique fees on the HUDs that MCMS hired you for? Just curious becuase that is what sticks out in my memory.

I looked back and pulled up the HUD. Not sure what you meant about fees. The fee they quoted on the HUD was twice as much as what I was actually paid. Is that what you are referring to? I did another closing for a signing co. and the lender tricked me into finding out what the signing co paid me. The signing co. stated to the lender that my fee was $175. Not quite. I was curious as to why the lender wanted to know my fee.

I did a signing for them on May 31, 2007, and got a check on Friday. A little over 30 days, which seems to be the "norm" anymore! Good Luck collecting!
