Non payment
Beware of: ** Closing Agent Directory**. Diane has an answering machine, but does not return calls. Signing was on 3/22, left numerous messages. **Katzlady** has had negative posts. I had always gotten paid. Person answering phone says that "People did not pay them". (?) When you call you seem to always get a new person, new to the job. Probably because the notaries that have pastdue accounts keep calling. . Person today says owner has refinanced her home this week to pay notaries. The good news is that there are lots of good companies out there that pay on time, just a few deadbeats that we must be aware of when that phone rings.

Hi Jcobb, thanx for the heads up. Could you link these companies please? This is a new and great feature that Harry has added for us. If you click on your post, there is a link tab. Thanx again.

a rebuttal to what negative has been said here. We just received notice of this.
Cardinal Title company had taken it upon themselves to start ordering and scheduling closings under Closing agent directory's name After we had left. We had left that location in February of 07. There was a mail box set up at that office for Diane and upon our leaving they continued to order under our name. Then would push any incoming calls to her mail box. Any orders placed by Closing agent would have only been placed by Diane ( if it was us ) and you would have had her cell phone number Not an office number, to go along with the order. When we place an order with anyone you receive a e-mail confirmation to include client info, agreed price and Diane's info to include Cell and E-mail. As I read this post it makes clear that people at the Title company where answering and that Diane was not the originator of this order. We have no outstanding invoices. ( over 30 days ) We have always paid in 30 or less . And we have more than one company that will agree we do a good job all around getting schedule , docs and return. Further we are vary financially stable and have never had to barrow money to maintain payroll of closers or agents. Whom ever you talked with on 7/25 to be told owner has refied to pay notaries was talking about Cardinal, We have not been with them since February and to reference this about Closing Agent is a blatant lie. We are both in the industry and maintain a income outside of Closing Agent. I apologies to anyone who took and closed an order scheduled by Cardinal Title this year in our name and without our authority and using there numbers as return contact information. But if you did not deal directly with Diane it was not Closing Agent Directory. "She is the only contact ever given" You will not receive a call or ever speak to anyone else, and if you do, it would be me or It is not us. I have owned and operated Title Companies for over 14 years and would never jeopardize relationships over a closing fee. A and J Cobb you are well aware that Bridgett and not Diane Schedule this closing and that after we found out we fought with them to pay you. You also know that You have been speaking to Kelli or Dana at Cardinal and not US. We ( closing agent ) where never involved at the beginning of this order and Did not find out until later what had happened. I find it in vary poor taste to make the comments that you have made direct towards Closing Agent Directory when it was Cardinal Title that set that closing and did not make payment to you.

Hi Brad:
I did not know any of this information before now. I can see what has happened. I can definitely understand why you got upset. Cardinal Title should be on the no no list then, not Closing Agent Directory. Notaries should read this and reply! It is unfair to your company to have bad write up since they are obviously untrue.
