OT: Techie ? - Anyone familiar w/ JiWire Hotspot Helper

The software is suppose to protect privacy when using wifi hotspots. Is this possible?

I'm not familiar with JiWire, but a software firewall like ZoneAlarm (free) on your computer will probably provide the same protection.

Unless you're planning to spend hours at a time connected to a wireless hotspot, there's very little risk involved.
