POA and witnesses -TIA

When signing a POA can the notary be one of the witneses or do I need two completely uninterested persons to witness? TIA

Ask yourself - do I have an interest in this? Is it for a family member? Am I notarizing the witnesses signatures?

The answers to these questions should resolve it for youSmile

Thanks Sylvia...I just wanted to double check since I know we cannot witness Wills even though we are uninterested parties, but can witness mortgages.

The reason why we cannot be witnesses on a will, is that the witnesses signatures are notarized to make the will self-provingSmile (and of course we cannot notarize our own signature)
