Question about Bancserv confirmation
They called me back saying that they got my fee approved. When I received the confirmation there was no signing fee on it at all. Is this normal for their confirmations? This will be the first time I will be working with them.

My experience with them is the same. Then they shorted me.

Debbie, I got a confirmation from Bancserv yesterday for a closing and my fee was not on there, so I called them back and told them that it needed to be printed on the confirmation. They sent me a new one right away with the fee on it.

I really go into paranoid mode when co's don't seem to think it's important to state agreed fee on the Confirmation. How hard is that to do? Why don't they think we should have (& they should state) it in writing? I can't think of any other business as un-businesslike on the hiring end as this one. Closest I can come is hiring a contractor--like to put a roof on your house. If you don't have brains enough to 'get it in writing', that contractor most assuredly WILL. Yet, if we attempt to send the people who hire us a Written Contract or anything 'in writing' that stipulates OUR policies (like Net 30), it gets ignored or they find another notary or, or, or....anything except behave like a business.

I totally agree. I emailed and left a message on their answering machine. I told them that I can not put this appointment on my book until I receive a confirmation with my fee on it.

Debbie T BEWARE!
Lisa P. has $$$ outstanding with them for some time, said her fee was approved, c/o had correct fee, but they decided to short her anyway, and would not hold up the approved fee agreement!

Re: Debbie T BEWARE!
I called and cancelled it. I would rather pass on it then have to chase my money. The schedulers name was Ryan Lane. Wasnt there a Ryan Lane that worked for Sox?

Re: Debbie T BEWARE!
I just looked up his name on here and now I remember. Message 158869. Rhonda Scansi started that thread. Down toward the middle Ryan Lanes name comes up because he called her the first time saying he was fron Sox. After she turned down the signing he called back from the same # saying he was fron the title company. I wonder if its the same Ryan. Interesting.

Re: Debbie T BEWARE!
Yes it was the same Ryan, but I was terminated (best thing that ever happened!) when i told a client that "the reason I could not find a notary for (them) was because sox had a bad habit of not paying notaries." Two days later the client told sox they did not want to use them anymore and kick me out of their office. I was terminated shortly there after and I do not have a single regret about that moment!

I had the same thing happen yesterday. They call at 1:30pm for a signing "in the morning." I said, "It's already 1:30pm here." Got confirmation, and no fee listed. I called and said, no confirmation with a fee, no work. Got a new confirmation with fee. Docs were late, and TC lied to borrowers and told them she e-mailed them to me "in the morning." I printed out the e-mails I received from them, including the confirmations, and was able to show the borrowers that Bancserv never called me until 1:30pm, and TC never sent the docs until 3pm. On top of that, docs were a mess. Borrowers then understood what a bunch of nincompoops the companies involved were. I better get paid...
