Question for a Missouri signing agent
I've got an signing here in Michigan for a rental property in Missouri. Lender is instructing that the non-borrowing spouse sign mortgage, rider, and TIL, but NOT the RTC. Hmmmm. Can't possibly be right, can it?

That can't be right but if it is non-owner ocupied there wouldn't be a RTC would there? They also have to sign item of amt fin.

Well geez, that's even more interesting. Of course you are right, there shouldn't be an RTC, but there it is in the package. Maybe they're extending one anyway? I know a lender can still give an rtc if they want, even if it isn't required. Time to make more phone calls.

If he's a MI resident, then wouldn't the dower law apply to any property he owned regardless of where the property is located?

You know, this was supposed to be a simple question. Now it's getting completely convoluted. Why can't it ever be easy! T.C. now instructed me to have them both sign RTC and they'll figure it all out later. I think I'm just going to be the big dumb notary and do as I'm told.
