Refused a signing for $60.00 edocs

with Nations Direct. They called my home at 10:00 PM last night for a signing this evening. Told them I couldn't possibly close the loan for that amount. My fee is $XXX. Said she would get it approved and call me back . . . . . . . yeah, right. Plus the signing was 40 miles one way.

I've worked for Nations Direct. I also refuse their $60.00 fee for the signing plus e-docs. They do have a lot of jobs and they will pay your negotiated fee. However...there are some minuses with them.....they rarely get the docs to you until the last hour which is a problem if you have other appointments for that day; they also babysit you with endless phone calls. The plus side is that the signings are usually problem free.

If we all tell them the $60 fee is unacceptable (especially in California) with printing docs, travel and gas and that we can't make any money with that fee maybe they'll raise them????

Is $60.00 good for you?

They usually pay on the 26th for the month preceeding. For instance, they'll pay July 26 for June signings.

I think Jan was saying that Nations will never change, and she's right. They've been the same price for years. They babysit enough to use newbies and save all the pretty money for themselves. IF and that's a big IF, even newbies wouldn't work for that price, maybe they'd raise it (a little), but for now, they can get away with it, so they do...

Don't ever do an edoc signing for less than $75.00($50.00+$25 edocs). Bottom line they found someone else to do it for $60. Not to worry, gas prices are too high to travel that for even for $75.00.

ARE YOU CRAZY?

Good grief, Veronica ... My fee is twice that and then some, and I have no problem getting my fee and saying no to the low-ballers. You are pricing yourself right out of business at those fees.
Do we have to have the "perceived value" conversation every day on this board?

Re: ARE YOU CRAZY? We are seeing w/ the downfall of the

latest SS closing its doors and all the folks upset about it and the new fees of $40... if you read between the lines ... UNFORTUNATELY there are a ton pricing themselves too low to make a living wage after expenses..... Some previously have said they take the $50 offers and others kept quiet until they posted about that company paying $10.00 for the signing....

and in a month or two most will start accepting the $40 I betcha

They will pay reasonably.

They just have to be desperate. Sooooo... everybody....make 'em desperate!
In 3/07 - $150 w/edocs. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen and would happen more often if everybody would just say no to the ridiculously low fees.
