Lisa, I was just offered a signing for $40 that would take me 40 minutes to get there, one way! 50 cents a mile and a free signing, hmmmmm..... Let me think....... That is too tempting. I think I will pass. The scheduler told me its not about the fee but the abundance of signings I would do for them. 60 miles for $30 you do have me beat.

Re:Not Nations Direct
I hear ya, this one would have paid for my gas and use of the car. RM app to boot. An hour to an hour and a half probably. Two hours driving time. I told her my fee which was over 3 times that and she sounded slightly surprised. The best part was trying to sell me the appt by means of letting me know I could have the signing too. Like that was some kind of bonus. I cant keep my mouth shut anymore. These are ridiculous offers for the services we provide and whoever owns these companies should be ashamed of themselves. But I know it doesnt even matter to them. I wish they would prove me wrong. End of Rant

Ok that would not be 50 cents a mile but 50 cents a minute. And yes it was Nations Direct.

If someone accepts this assignment for that fee, will someone check the county recorder's website and find out who the notary was? Then, go and put a dead horse's head in their bed, while they're sleeping! (The Godfather)

in OH if you take the application, you can NOT do the signing. It's considered a conflict of interest, even though your not getting the LO commission.
I was promised a similar deal and the app. paid close to what the signing would, but took twice as long. I never do apps. anymore

I get $200.00 for an application and I can do the closing because with this company I am not the loan officer.

Re: $200 for just the app signing??
Or is that $200 for the loan app signing and the regular signing after that? That I could deal with. What happens if the loan doesnt go thru though? Im guessing you still get compensated fairly for your efforts and hard work, right?

Re: $200 for just the app signing??
Thats $200 for the app and another $200 at closing. They also pay if the application does not go through and $50 for a no sign. One appointment the daughter showed up and would not let the mother sign that day. I got $50 for that day and $200 when I went back out. So far all the loans have gone through. But you still get paid within a week of the application and the loans take 4-6 weeks to close. They have to go through a FHA review which takes a while.

This fee would be quite acceptable in my state of Rhode Island. No one complains about fees except yours truly. What is the message number for calculating profit on a signing? Can someone please publish this again?

Re: well, it pays the bills
I am so lucky that I never receive calls from nations direct. But it will be a waste of my cell minutes just to say no to them. They are not worth one minute of my cell minutes and I have 1400 per month.
