Still shaking my head...

Yesterday a coworker tells me that she has applied for a refi on her rental property. She specifically told the LO that it is a rental and to either send the loan docs to her residence or her business address, NOT the rental property. (you can see where this is going)
So of course they fed ex it to the rental property, the renters open the package and now have ALL of her personal financial information. She doesn't know who to strangle first, the LO or her renter!

I wonder if this LO has gotten the XYZ back ground check yet?

Some LO's have nothin' but cotton between the ears.

Had one last fall and he was really upset because he said don't send it to the renters! We ran into town to the rental and there they were on the porch.

I get it...and...

I would be ticked off at the LO as well...but I think I would be just as ticked at the renters for opening something that did not belong to them in the first place....isn't there a law against that?? Federal Mail tampering...??? hmmmmmmmm

Just a thought....

That is what upset me the most - not the TC or LO

but the addressee presumably was to have been SA or bor. but not rentor. Good grief, people just don't read (or follow directions, or think)
I think I am not a people person today.

Hope your co-worker keeps an eye out for any type of identity theft, and hangs on to all the packaging materials wherein the loans docs were sent to the rental property.
Any ID theft in the future, I would call that negligence on the part of the lender and / or TC.
