Top Notch Signing - the saga continues...BEWARE
Yes, I know I should have looked here before taking the assignment, but I didn't - did a signing on 5/21/07 - no payment after reminder e-mails after the thirty-day mart. Alan called me 7/23 for another signing and I told him no further assignments until my outstanding invoice was paid - he seemed shocked (right) - checked his system and said it showed my check went out 6/23 - I never got it..said he'd have accounting check on it and I should call him back on Friday to follow up...
Called Friday am, 7/27 - no answer - got his voice mail and left message...at 2:00 pm no response (and still no check) so I called again - "mailbox full"..click...sent him an e-mail asking him to give me a status of payment as I felt accounting had sufficient time to research the missing check and issue a new one.
Called today after getting no response to my e-mail and no check received - got his vm again...left message that I'd like to resolve this before I go to my attorney and to please call me.
Never thought I'd be posting bad about a company but this is ridiculous and he deserves all the flack he gets over this posting. I'm suspecting I'll never hear from him as I don't think he has the intestinal fortitude to face up to the fact that the company is stiffing notaries. My next stop, after notifying title, is signing central.

Oh no! Not you TOO! Yes, Alan and I have danced. I wish he would come up with new reasons why the check has not go out. Those are soooo stale. He did send me checks, but they were short -- late-- bla bla bla. Never did find out why they were $5 or $10 short, just took what he gave me and ran! Best of luck to you-- You are doing the right thing. What other recourse do we have? Hang in there!
