Update on the Backdating Issue and FISERV

Earlier I had posted a message pertaining to being asked by a rep to backdate documents. Sue Brown called me and stated that it is not the company policy to ask anyone to backdate.
She investigated the matter and said that the rep did not understand his instructions and there was a miscommunication. The file was rescheduled with the notary who handled the first signing. I have never had any negative issues with ILS in the past so I accept Sue's clarification of the company's position to never ask a notary to backdate documents.

Baloney. On the record, no backdating, but off the record, backdate to accomodate the lender

of course I have no details at all about this specific incident so this is a general comment. Every company's 'policy' is that nothing fraudulent/illegal happen with their loans. Directed to the two below who have never been asked to do any backdating or whatever they stated - I have been in this business a long time and at some point I have been asked by EVERY major player to do something illegal - corporate policy and getting the job done at street level are entirely different. Also again, a general comment - often times the 'original' notary is told they can use the first date because they were there that day, they did see borrowers, sign, etc. and since they don't know notary law, they comply.
