Which HP printer do you prefer? the 4050, 4000, . .???

I am in the market for a 3rd printer. I have 1 HP and 1 Brother (which I have never used). My HP seems really slow . . anyway which of the 4000 series do you all prefer?

Thanks so much for any and all opinions!!

Susan

I was using a HP 3030 3 in 1 and just bought an HP3005 and love it. It is a dedicated printer and puts out about 33-35 pages per minute. Slick! Also the ink cartridges should yield about 13,000 pages per cartridge depending on which cartridge you purchase. One only gets about 6,000 pages, the other 13,000. I bought my cartridge for about $78 ( the 13,000). I was paying $72 for the HP 3030 cartridge and getting only about 1,500-2,000 pages. Whoa, big difference! The ink was eating into my profit severely and I swore I would not buy another toner for that few amount of pages per toner. I had not shopped for a better price on the HP3030 toner but made the decision to buy a faster dedicated printer.

SnoopdogMS,
I am also a notary signing agent in MS. I was wondering, were did you get your printer. We have been looking for one of better quality for quite some time. We have two seperate printers that we use to print our docs, neither of them seem to effectively accomplish the jobs required in ample time. Just wondering your thoughts on this.

This is my hobby

If you search the forum for my name, there will enough information that will help you decide what printer to buy. If you're serious about spending & upgrading your equipments, you're more than welcome to call me. This is my hobby after 17 years working in the hi-tech industry and I've found this little niche to be useful for notary business.

4200

I was able to get a refurbished HP4200 DTN locally for $750.
It replaced my HP1320 and what a difference.
Highly recommended.
I got mine in Orange, CA at Perfect Pages.
No, I don't get a commission. Smile

Re: 4200

Yes, but, on ebay, I could not get the $300. credit for my 1320 that I traded in.
I think they had a very good price considering dual tray, duplexer and additional memory.
