X.P. Doc Services
Is anyone else having trouble contacting this company. I'm pretty sure that they owe me for a couple of signings in April but have not been able to contact to double check. Last week they were out of the office all week and this week all I can get is an answering machine. Any info would be appreciated.

I am also owed from a signing on April 3 - I talked to Tammy on June 27th and she said they were waiting on a deposit and checks would go out soon. You can email her at [e-mail address]

You're "pretty sure" they owe you for a couple signings? What!!!!! Either they do or don't and you need them to tell you if they do?? Sorry, but what kind of accounting system are you using that you don't know this?

If you've ever worked for X.P. Doc you know that they pay like clockwork on the 20th of the month following the signing and have for 5 years. I take the time every couple of weeks to check on my accounts receivable and take appropriate action and yes it is possible that I could receive a check and not record it-it is also possible that a company will pay you twice for one signing as I had happen last month and yes I returned their check. I must be doing something right as I've only been stiffed for one signing in 6 years.

Your profile says you are "detail oriented". That would mean good record keeping.
You should always know who owes you and who doesn't, and not depend on the TC or SS to tell you if they owe you money whether they 'pay like clockwork' or not.

Like I said I must be doing a fairly good job of record keeping if I've only been stiffed once in 6 years (and that inlcudes companies like SOX and Signature Services-both of whom I will no longer deal with. If a check is more than 2 weeks late I am on it - the company may not have issued it, could be lost in the mail, or maybe they sent the check and I misplaced it (this has never happened) but before I go jumping on someone I check to see if the check has been issued. My system works for me and as for being detail oriented - don't break it, if it's not broken. This is not rocket science.
