question for Harry regarding the zip code search
Hi Harry, When looking in the zip code search of find a notary I am wondering why my next door neighbor who just registered on this site is listed before me? We are both basic members and I have been a member for two years so I was just curious as to how that worked?
Thank you!

I was wondering the same thing. I have been a member much longer but yet I am third on the list. And I live 1.5 miles from my own address.

How can you set yourself apart from others?
Premium membership of course. Thats what I thought of when I read your post. I think basic membership means exactly that, BASIC. I think if you ask yourself " Okay, I have a notary too close to home, Now what do I need to do to set myself apart from them?"

She is a premium member in the system
I know because she is my sister. Even if she types in her own address, others come up as closer. Go Figure:-)

"Even if she types in her own address, others come up as
closer". I had the same problem, then noticed that person listed before me has a POBox, which puts her/him at 1st position, since that is 'where they live' strictly by the numbers. My address is listed further, but the same amt of mileage to get to the post office. If you live in a big zip code area, and SS says' you're only 4 mi. away but your PO is close to other PO, then that is how it is calculated (I think - I reason).

If you type in her own address
2 different NSA's show up ahead of her, neither of which have a PO Box. Next:-)

Re: If you type in her own address
Actually if you type in my zip two others show up before me. But if you put in my actual address one other is 1.3 miles from me and I am 1.5 miles from me. Thanks Bro

I also put in my neighbor's address right across the street and it says that I am 4.5 miles from them.
