Re: Anyone else slow?

Here in So IL I have been swamped. Can't keep up and had to turn them down. I hate when that happens.

Re: Anyone else slow?

I have been busy for many years. This is the slowest June I can remember.

Re: Slow in MA

Agreed on that! It's been tough to get new mortgages and refi's for me.. Leading with that notaries have been slow also for me

Not here

A lot of phone calls today and the week is shaping up nicely. Looks like it could be a busy EOM here. I think there are just regional peaks and valleys - it seems like every month there are some folks who have all they can handle, while others are waiting for the phone to ring.

Guess I've been fortunate. I have had my best month so far and still have a ways to go. Hope everybody else picks up for EOM.

Re: Not here

I can see that "slow" is relative. I would consider 10 in one week dead. I ususally do three or four a day after the 15th, but now I am down to one or two a day, so my work is at 50%

Hi, Always remember to judge your business by the month. Don't get discouraged because you may have very little in the beginning then swamped at the end. Stay positive....

Badest month ever in many years

Reports show interest rates up, harder to get a loan and property values down. Please shoot me.

Re: Badest month ever in many years

It is so true! A friend of mine has been trying to get his refi closed for months now. The LO just keeps telling him that the banks are backed up but he will be ready soon. He has been hearing this since April. It was kind of funny how once I heard that story things had really slowed down here. April here was booming but May and June not so much. ={

Re: Badest month ever in many years

just curious, if you know. Why hasn't your friend told the LO they are moving on and then find a lender that will get their loan closed timely? When borrowers tell me that it has taken months I always wonder if they have 'done' something themselves (such as not sending in whatever is requested), if they have credit problems that must be worked out, or if the LO is just a bimbo. Probably a combination of the above, plus other things I can't begin to imagine. Back in the busy days of 2003/4, I closed several loans, for myself in less than 30 days (including purchases) - it can be done if the borrower applies pressure and indicates there will be no nonsense or they will find someone who can do the job.
