Becoming a Premier Member
I just started receiving calls from my basic membership with Notary Rotary. The company I did receive a call from is only paying $45.00 per signing. Is it worth becoming a premier member if you are only going to receive signings for $45.00? I would appreciate any help anyone could give. Thanks!

Just because you are a Premier Member does not mean you will be getting "Premier" calls. I am a premier member and the good calls I receive far out-weigh the bad or cheap calls. Worth every penny to me.

The premier membership also helps to pay for this great
service provided to network with other notaries. I personally upgraded to premier for this reason alone. Running a forum like this takes great time and expense. Also, if you are a premier member, your name is moved up to the top. Some areas have hundreds of basic members. You have a better chance of being called if you are at the top.

Thanks for your help. Do you receive a lot of calls for your listing with Notary Rotary?

They wanted to pay me $45.00, plus travel 50 miles round trip for $45.00 - What do you think?

Glad they didn't take it! It's pretty funny to see the stuff these companies try to pass onto us haha If you have a SUV that was pretty much your gas itself

Re: i hope you turned down the $45 signing....
If you mean that you received a 1st AND a 2nd mortgage, this same thing happened to me when I was first starting out - literally my 2nd or 3rd job - and I didn't know any better to call the company back and have them adjust my fee due to the second loan. I chalked it up to a learning experience. If a job magically turns into a 1st/2nd, always call back and have them increase your fee. Then be sure to get an e-mail confirmation of the new fee.

I agree with Copperhead. Call them asap and get them to adjust your fee. It's not your fault that you got a first and a second for $85. They sandbagged you. Or, the signing service was sandbagged. You deserve another 1/2 again as much, IMHO.

I always ask how many packages before I accept the signing. Then I negotiate from there.
