DHL...just go away...
At least in my area. Had a closing a noon today. XYZ title company sent the docs DHL on Friday and they did not get to the borrowers house until 3pm today. Come on now, this is ridiculous. We tracked the package and they could only tell us that it was on route and would be there by 3pm today. Lost that closing, couldn't wait around any more than the 2 hours I was on hold for.

Same problems with DHL here in Wyoming too.
I just sent another note to Fiserv about that since they sent a notice stating they are switching from FedEx to DHL. Told them I will not and cannot be held responsible for the "days" delay (not just hours) with DHL service here in rural Wyoming.
DHL= Don't Handle Loan packagae in in timely manner.

Re: DHL...just go away...DITTO
I had a big job for Fiserve. This client only loans money to owners of car dealerships. So I was there, the LO was there (he flew it), some other mysterious person was there, and it was a big deal. Any time the borrower made a joke, everyone knew to laugh. I got the docs out to DHL the same day, and they arrived a week later.
Another loan used DHL, I had to go back the next week and re-sign a redraw because they got lost in DHL limbo-land. DHL promised to send me an email when the docs were delievered, even a few more days later. By that time -- so what.
Fed Ex may have glitches, but nothing like everone else.

I wish they would stop calling me. They think I control what service to use. They sent me a whole box of crap I'll never use. Then they sent me a "Thank you" not by overnight mail. They could have used a 39 cent stamp. Never mind that their trucks look like they have a million miles on 'em - no hub caps to boot. They just don't get it.

It's the airplanes
A few years back DHL bought TAESA's (of Mexico) entire fleet. TAESA was always, I mean always, late (except when they just cancelled the flight). Even their logo looked like a bird with an arrow through the chest, a bad omen. Used to call them "Take Another Stay Alive"
Many a truthful word is said in jest, as it turns out. They went bellyup after a crash that killed everyone and seems to have been the fruit of negligence...
That's when DHL bought all their planes... well all but that one.
When I was worked in Silicon Valley in the 80's DHL was prestige... FedEx only international (FedEx was only domestic then), very expensive but very good. My how times have changed.
