i just have a hard time........
understanding what makes ss and title co's think that we are licensed........notaries are appointed, usually by the governor or sos for a specific term.....they are defacto an officer of the state......when they ask me for a copy of my license i tell them that "I don't have a license"....then comes the stuttering ....just a pet peav of mine.....sorry for the rant ....

Re: i just have a hard time........
I wouldn't expect anyone to know the difference between license and commission. In Minnesota, the notary commission is printed on the same form as licenses for manicurists, plumbers, etc. Give 'em a break and just provide the evidence that you are official.
