Gotta vent
Got called TWO days ago for a signing for 6 pm tonight. No problem! I should be leaving here in 15 minutes... no docs! Figures, huh?

I am doing the exact same thing! Appointment was scheduled yesterday and I should have already left a few minutes ago. Got a call 45 minutes ago that docs were on their way. No docs yet! This last-minute-by-the-seat-of-your-pants e-docs stuff is ridiculous!

Oh.. my docs are STILL not here, and my other one cancelled. Docs will probably get here about 10 pm.

I generally wait on docs too, but lately, I've had several signings with the docs coming days early- DAYS! I keep wondering if it's the end of the world! Lol. I wish they were all like that...

Re: Gotta vent--Gotta be Countrywides . . .
I have had several Countrywides this week that were scheduled for evening signings and so far . . each one has not came to fruition . . so far they have been rescheduled. One was supposed to go forward last night but the docs never arrived and thankfully so because I was swamped. Tonight one of them is supposed to close (rescheduled . . ha!) and I told them I need the docs by such and such a time because I have to be at another signing and cant wait around for their docs.
Boy oh boy. . I can't believe it . . you would think since things are slower than ever they would be on top of things.
I understand your vent!! I am waiting too . .giving them 1 more hour . .

Nope, mine was American Brokers Conduit, but I have waited on my fair share of Countrywide! My docs came a few minutes after I posted.

Why wait?
I don't sit around and wait all day for docs to show up. I normally check in when it's time to print and go to make the appointment. If the wait has reach the appointment time, I will call the borrowers to tell them the appointment is pending until further notice so that they can go do their normal things b/c I'll be doing the same .
I would also call or email to let the parties involved know of the pending status. I'd ask that they call me (not email) asap when docs are ready to continue with the appointment.

Re: Why wait? I have a question for Andy
Andy can you down load and print docs in your car?

Re: Gotta vent--Gotta be Countrywides . . .
OK, try this on for size:
I've waited for my share of Countrywides.
But two days ago I accept an order from FASS for not one but three loans from Countrywide.
Seems the borrower is refi-ing 3 of his rental properties.
Signing was for 4:30pm today.
By 8 this morning I had all three loan packages.
SO THERE.
But wait, this dream does have a nightmare.
Seems the HUDs and Title docs for all three loans were fedexed to the wrong address.
Why they didn't just e-mail them to me in the first place is beyond me.
In any event it all got cleared up by 3 o'clock...and all three loans got signed on time.
