HELP W/ PDF FILE THAT OPENS CORRECTLY BUT PRINTS SCRAMBLED
Has anyone ever experienced this situation. Rcvd email with pdf file attached. Opened attachment via Adobe and was able to view the PDF file. Went to print and it printed out real weird looking. It printed with letters that weren't on the screen. I tried printing another PDF doc and it printed correctly. I even printed another word doc and it printed correctly. Any help would be much appreciated. I wait patiently for your response (yell right - who is patient at the end of the month when there are problems) Thanks

Hope you get a better answer than this, but all I can think of is turn computer & printer off and back on. Sometimes that clears its little mind.

LEE thanks tried off and on - still not working
Zee I really don't understand your response. I did scroll down to Adobe 8 to your response there and I think I understand what you are saying but I am not using V8. I called support line and talked with someone there who seems to think it is a problem with the file being sent. I called the tc that sent me request and explained to them problems and they are sending request to their IT department. The person did tell me that she had been having problems with her computer but I don't know if that has anything to do with this problem. Thanks for your response.

Re: Teri, try ..
saving it to your desktop. Try printing it from there instead of straight from the e-mail. Seems like I have tried that before. If that fails, try to restart your computer.

Try unplugging the printer to clear the memory
and then download the file again. Then just print the first few pages, instead of the whole file.

Print as image
At times, you may encounter problems when printing a PDF file. For example, a PDF file can contain damaged content such as images or fonts that cannot be rendered by Acrobat during the printing process. Choosing Print As Image bypasses that rendering operation by sending the printer a rasterized image of the document.
To print as image:
1. Open the PDF file in Acrobat.
2. Choose File > Print.
3. Click Advanced.
3. Select Print As Image near the top of the dialog box.
4. Click OK, and then click OK again to print.
Hopefully this will hep - it may be too late for this signing, but maybe for next time. Good luck
