Invoices in NC

New to the business, just had my first signing Sunday night for a time share closing. Can you tell me what you put in your invoice? I am in NC. Thanks!

All you should need is the name of the borrower and/or the order number they gave you, plus the $ amount you agreed to. Verify invoicing requirements with whoever hired you - some want an actual invoice, others let you do it on their web site. Whatever their requirements may be, make sure you follow them - it will save you a lot of aggravation...

Make it easy for them to pay you - in addition to the pertinent info (borrower name, their reference #) include:

Address where they should send the check.
Who to make check payable to*
Amount due.
When it is due (for example: "due on receipt" or "terms: 30 days"
Your tax ID #

* Lately, many of the entities that send me bills (credit cards, utilities) seem to want to keep this a mystery! Drives me nuts.
