LSI fees :(

I took my first signing from LSI that reflects their printing fee reduction - GRR!!! I guess I'd rather have a fee reduction than no fee at all.

That's what they are counting on.
However, for $18 I wouldn't wait for late docs

There is absolutely no justification for a reduction in printing fees......I dont know about the rest of you but my toner and paper have both had price increases in the last 30 days. If people would stick together and "just say no" this crap would stop. There is also the "waiting for eodcs" factor to be considered. I dont know about the rest of you but I feel as though my time is worth money too!!!!!! This business is getting to be a real pita.........I am also tired of making phone call after phone call and refaxing invoices a gazillion times trying to collect money I am owed. Its bad enough we are puting out our money up front for toner...paper.....gas etc...... but then you have to wait and wait to get paid. Can you tell I am not in a good mood today????????? I am sitting here right now waiting for edocs for a clsing that was supposed to take place at 9:00 am this morning.

I would never accept a signing for that. If they don't want to pay my fee they can pound sand, however, I have never had that issue with LSI - each time they call me they never mention the reduction and neither do I. The girl I deal with most of the time is wonderful.

You needed to have told them NO. We have got to stick together. LSI use to be one of my best companies. For the majority of my signings I was paid between 150.00-200.00 for years. Then they said I was too expensive and even though I had their highest rating (and yes they do keep a file on your performance, its more like a rating system, A,B,C,etc, plus specific notes) they said that they had many notaries that buy in bulk and that the average notary charged 64.00 total including edocs. So either I take the new fee or I wouldnt work. So I told them to take me out of their data base permanently. I will not work for these paltry fees. Ever since the Santa Ana office took over LSI it has become a pita. If you still work for less then you become part of the problem not part of the solution. In a minute they'll be wanting you to work for free. LSI made millions in the last few years all due to us, but they want us to reduce our fees...what BS.

Re: LSI fees

I love your line "If you still work for less then you become part of the problem and not part of the solution", great line. No one is sticking together right now. National Real Estate and Service Stink have lowered their fees and they have stood the test of time. LSI is just following suit like the others.

**In a minute they'll be wanting you to work for free. **

At these rates people are working for free.

Re: LSI fees :( It' s called weeding out the bad

Stand your ground, also notaires when you don't get paid, don't stop at "well I hope they pay me someday" go after them. This is not running a business effectively......

Re: LSI fees

I did not accept the reduction. While the number of signings with them has been reduced (not gone away), the scheduler said it is very slow. But, she added, they are getting pressure about the fees paid.

Running a business, we found that the typical print job for the average LSI signing covered only the materials and a very small labor charge at $25. $18 does not cover a decent print job on our equipement and includes nothing for labor.

Re: LSI fees

They tried last week to get me down $15 and I refused. Paper has gone up sooo much lately. Their is no way I'm coming down.

Todd, we forgive this time, but like said before, if we stick together, we can get them back up to reality.

Re: LSI fees

I have been doing alot of closings for LSI this month and not once did they ask me to lower my print fee. Not that it would do them any good to ask. I know I read about them lowering their fees, but it hasn't been an issue for me. Stick to your guns, they'll either pay or not, but why give in to their lowball tactics when they will obviously pay the 25.00.

Re: LSI fees

I received the email a while back about their lower fees for edocs, but I didn't respond to it. I did a closing for them today with edocs, it was a CW, they always add the print fee after the closing has been completed. Is it possible that they would just lower the fee without asking first? I'm anxious to see what shows up in my email tomorrow or Mon. am!
