Looked in Search..cant find answer

Is it Countrywide that does not want each page of the Mortgage initialed? There are no lines on each page of the Mortgage for initials.

One set of instructions from Title says 'have the borrower sign all pages of 1003 even if there isn't a signature lilne'.

Other set of instructions says 'have borrower sign or initial all pages of 1003 and the Mortgage'. Again, no line on each page of Mortgage and I thought I'd read here somewhere that CW does not want initials on each page.

Thanks.

I do alot of CW closings and I can't remember ever having to have them initial each page. Hope this helps, but I would just double check it with them.

You could print them on 8 1/2 X 14 and have the signer initial or sign the bottom right. Then if it's wrong they can cut it off.

Along with 24/7 mobile notary I offer recording services and have yet to see a county recorder check for initials.

In MO, standard size = 8.5"x11"; addl non-standard fee = $25

The $25 non-standard fee is charged on top of the standard fees. That's one reason I stick to letter-size DOTs when they come to me that way via PDF. Papercutters are great, but mistakes can be made.

When I first started as a Notary, CW required all pgs of the Deed to be initialed. I called because all of a sudden the DOT's didn't have lines requiring initials. I was told by the EO that CW has done away with initialing of DOT and a couple of other docs, can't recall which other docs don't require initials, so I just make sure I look on every page for initials to make sure I don't miss anything, just in case!
