Notary Blue Book
I receive tis e-mail today. Did anyone else?
Dear Rick,
I would like to invite you to participate in our private pre-launch of Notary Blue Book. You are part of a small group of mobile notaries that has proven itself to me over the years to be the elite of the notary industry. I used to be the President of Select Signing Services, and have since left the company to start this new and exciting endeavor. Since I have personally done business with you in the past, I have hand-selected you to participate in our private launch of Notary Blue Book. This means that I wanted to give you first opportunity to secure a spot before I make a nationwide announcement. We will begin the nationwide launch to thousands of mobile notaries on Wednesday, June 6th which gives you 2 days to review NotaryBlueBook.com and sign up. We are limiting the amount of memberships per county to 10-20 notaries and it will fill up fast.
Notary Blue Book is exactly what mobile notaries have been waiting for. Notary Blue Book is the first marketing tool of its kind for the Mobile Notary Industry. The blue book concept has been extremely successful in many different industries and it has finally arrived for Mobile Notaries nationwide. Notary Blue Book prints a professionally bound and designed directory book of Mobile Notaries which is delivered to over 5,000 escrow officers across the United States in 4 issues a year. That means that included in the membership is a free Premiere Online Directory Listing.
You are one of the first notaries to know about Notary Blue Book. We will begin the nationwide launch to thousands of mobile notaries on Wednesday, June 6th which gives you 2 days to review NotaryBlueBook.com and sign up. We have attached a strict limit of Notary Blue Book memberships per county, so before we launch Notary Blue Book to thousands of notaries nationwide, I would like to give you the opportunity to have "first pick". Memberships are on a first come first served basis and space is limited per county to ensure exclusivity and maximum exposure. Membership rates are based by county population and you can view your county on the Sign Up page of NotaryBlueBook.com. You may also sign up for more than one county.
Our Mission at Notary Blue Book is one that comes from experience and comprehension of the mobile notary industry. We want mobile notaries to make the notary fees that they deserve on a consistent basis. As most professional mobile notaries know, earning full fee for a signing is one of the main priorities especially from escrow officers outside of your area. Notary Blue Book actually puts the printed directory right in the lap of thousands of Escrow Officers nationwide. As a notary and a former owner of a reputable signing service, I have successfully marketed, established a strong network of contacts and developed an elaborate network of escrow officers for many years. Now I am going to help you grow your business. This is the marketing tool you have been waiting for.
Please go to NotaryBlueBook.com and read more information and to sign up. I would like to hear from you if you have any questions or need more details. You can call us directly at Notary Blue Book.
Respectfully,
Guy Lo Grande President Notary Blue Book, Inc. 949.429.1327 [e-mail address] www.NotaryBlueBook.com

I checked out the website
and his membership fee is based on the counties popluation. So if you live in a high density area that consists of several counties, the membership fees would be way to high!! He's done a lot of work as every county and its population is in there.
I think it's way to pricey.

Would cost almost $1,000
Since I service 6 counties, to be listed in all six would cost almost $1,000. No thank you.

Yes, I received the same email, cut and paste works wonders. Lets face it, we are all important notaries doing our jobs. Right!!! We don't need them to tell us that. Just another way to get you to spend your money.

the company is SELLING space not a service.... they just
provide the names to the same title companies for free that they would go online to get from NR and etc
I see NO advantage to paying for the listing as they do not sound like they have any relationships with title companies but would just mass mail out the book to whoever and then if you get any business......... I think any reputable title company (ok and non) knows about NR and the other sites if they need a notary
jmo............

The site registered info shows:
Registrant Contact: NotaryWork, Inc. Michael Bullock +1.9492743718 Fax: 29222 Rancho Viejo Rd. Suite 217 San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675
I haven't heard of either person before, but by looking at their website (http://www.notarywork.com) this is another pay for membership directory service. There are a ton of these popping up everywhere.
I have no idea what their relationship is to each other.

As soon as I read "first come, first served", he lost me completely. To me that just sounds like he is more interested in selling memberships than providing a genuinely useful tool to escrow officers. Also, I didn't like the bit of charging by county population - at least not the fees he was talking about!!
