ReFi Fees to Negotiate

Sometime within the past year, there was a post from someone stating fees he/she negotiated with the lender on for his/her personal refi. Can anyone give me some ideas on which ones are negotiable? I searched but obviously did not come up with the right search criteria to find the archived post.

Thanks!
Ginger

ALL fees are negotiable, but for the promulgated title insurance fees and recording fees.

direct lenders are your best bet in getting an accurate gfe - there are some great brokers but there are just as many bad so if you don't have a personal recommendation for one, I'd stay away from them. There are quite a few direct lenders w/set up front fees - try DiTech, ABNAMRO, BOA (no fee loans being offered right now)

Always remember there is YSP whether you read it from the lender or the loan officer.. Usually it is written in a "1-3% range" fashion
