Regarding international clients
Some people posted very nasty messages regarding my recent statements about my international clients.
Of course my clients don't fly 18 hours or drive 4 hours just to see me. Seeing a notary is one item of many on their "to do" list when coming to the Pacific NW.
I simply did my research to discover what these near and distant foreigners need and how to make my notary business very easy to find on the internet. Having a basic grasp of SEO and knowing the applicable notary regulations thoroughly is all that is needed.
My competition reads this board so I am not going to educate everyone on what specific notary services are needed by international citizens visiting the US. But I will describe one.
Retired Filipinos get payments very similar to our social security checks. If the retiree lives abroad, they are required to send their government a statement that essentially says "I am still alive." This statement must be notarized. If the retiree doesn't speak English very well, it is usually her/his adult daughter living in the Phillipines who will call me to arrange the appointment.
Thank you, Joan, for posting in support of my integrity.
