ServiceLink question
I have an edoc signing scheduled for this afternoon. No lender docs, nor junk docs. Am I safe to assume this won't be happening today? Has anyone ever received docs on Saturday from SL? TIA

Did you check and see if the borrowers have the docs? If not, you probably won't be signing today.

Yep, you're right - no signing today for me. Borrower returned my call and said another notary was on his way, with the docs. Wires crossed somewhere. At least I didn't give up any other work for this, just an invite for a picnic and kayak trip - Grrrrr.

Re: Did you receive a confirmation?
Yes. I suppose I could try and collect a 'cancellation fee' - or more like 'lack of cancellation fee'. I'll include it on my monthly invoice, who knows, maybe they'll pay it.

Re: Did you receive a confirmation?
I had something similar recently, although not with this company. I hadn't received docs and when I called the borrower he said there was another notary at his home signing a loan. But, he was sure I was suppose to be there also? It turned out he had two homes in two different states that he divides his time between and he was refinancing both. Although I didn't sign that loan that night I did end up signing the loan four days later. So, before sending your invoice for a cancellation fee, check with the SS first.
