Shipping question
I received o/n docs, and in the package was a return shipping label - one of the computer generated jobs with the barcodes. Something made me look closer at it - it has my name and address as the "from" address, and on the side of the label it says "Bill Sender". ??
They don't have my FedEx account #; I thought you needed an account # in order to generate an online label. if I use this label, will FedEx attempt to bill me? Maybe I should just toss the label and generate a new one using their account# (included in the instructions)...

OK, the number is in the system, which means they had to use a valid FedEx billing account to create the label.
I don't know if this is common or not - first time I've ever seen it done that way.

I never use their pre printed airbill
I always print my own using their fed ex account number as the bill too. I've never had a problem with Fed Ex. I absolutely HATE the UPS system.

I have been billed by Fed Ex in the past, they do not need your account number to bill you; they can simply look it up by your name and address. The air bill was clearly marked bill "Receiver", and had the account number written in the appropriate place. However, the company had given me an old number they no longer used. I sent the TC an invoice, and they reimbursed me.

They did a ship and receive label and billed it to them.
No big deal.

Here's what happened
Instead of creating two separate labels, TC or the sender just check the box "Return Shipping Request" which means that the sender is expected to get the package or something ship back to them (notice there is an RMA #).

Re: Here's what happened
Thanks, Andy - there's no RMA number, but it does say "Fedex Returns" (geez, there's a lot on these labels I never saw before...) so I guess that's the same thing. The tracking # is in the FedEx system, so whatever they did they had to use a valid billing number to do it.
By the way, thanks for mentioning a while back about the free stick-on labels that FedEx provides - I wasn't aware of them until I saw your post, and now I don't have to keep a supply of those silly plastic pouches anymore....
