The Run Around...
Well, no surprise here. I did a closing & bwr cancelled it after signing. Title co. tells me sorry but we won't pay. I say I did my job & I want compensation. Oh, don't worry the broker will take care of it. I send out all the emails & broker finally gets back. He says I am making a big deal out of nothing & not to worry they will pick up the tab. I said I was just afraid I would be getting the run around. Well, lets see. Its now almost 4 months later & broker is totally avoiding my emails & phone calls - probably because he found out that his employer will NOT pay & now he is stuck w/the tab. Title co. still maintains that they are not responsible (maybe in some alternate universe) & I am out my money for a pain in the butt, last minute, 1st/2nd closing. If this isn't the "run around," I don't know what is!!!

Well even the attorneys get the shaft I see. Seems noone has morals or ethics anymore. I had to call a mortgage lender yesterday, and after that call, within an hour the signing service was on the phone with me promising the payment has been mailed. Well I have heard now 4 different stories but we shall see. I told the lender I was going to file with the company NNA advertises in the back of their mag, and that they give you several options, one of which is to put the claim on their credit reports with the big 3. Maybe thats why I got the call. Doing the BBB thing does not seem to have much weight as I have been reading, so try this.website is www.acollectionagency.com/nna. They give you different options so register which is free, and chose what direction you want to take. Good luck, Maureen.

The down side of "direct" assignments. You must ramp up the retoric if you expect to get paid.

Welcome to the non-lawyer world
You would think that they would at least be somewhat worried about screwing a lawyer over. Why not call the title company back and ask to speak to the legal department? There you should find someone who understands the importance of this and you might get some satisfaction. Otherwise send one of those stern letters lawyers are good at and see if that scares them straight. Good luck.

And stay away from Notarize 24-7. I still did not recieve their so called (we mailed the check) on the 6th, 7th or 8th? excuse.Louis. Dave, and Gary have proven themselves unworthy of our professional business. As I stated earlier, call the mortgage lender and or title company. SS do not like that, as their integrity(HAHAHA) is on the line. Or my other suggestion put them in collections, and theres always small claims court, and what PL said about drafting a letter, and CC it to the state SOS office. Good luck.
