Take a look on Fatwallet.com or slickdeals.net
You can find a better deal there.

Too much...
I'm a computer nerd... that thing has some stuff I'd like... but my laptop cost half that and it works just fine. That looks like a decent, but not great, price for that 'puter.
I got a Dell refurb, but last week the news were about the same price as the outlet.
I've got a Gig of RAM, 70G HDD, 15" screen and 1.8Ghz Pentium Mobile for $6XX (I forget, but more than $602 and less than $699). There's no BUSINESS that you can do with that one that I couldn't do with mine.
It's the money you keep, not the money you spend, that makes you rich.

Re: Too much...
I paid about $650 after rebate (rec'd within <2 mos) for a brand new Toshiba from Office Depot. 80 G hard drive, 1024 DDR2 memory modules (the very minimum you should have for Vista, BTW), 15.4" screen, 1.73 GHz, etc. Has everything I need, does the job just fine and has a 1-yr warranty. Only thing I might have done differently is add more RAM, but I can always do that later, if necessary. I've since been told by a corp IT guy that Vista uses up even more memory than Microsoft admits to, and with all the potential applications, the more the better. And memory is relatively cheap these days.
Shop around. There are sales nearly every week, if you're in a metro area with the usual stores. You also might also check www.pricewatch.com.

Thank you.
I love all the input, and I would prefer to spend less than $699!
