update on docuservusa
Well, you gotta love the power of notary boards like this one. After receiving notification from me that I would be reporting their no pay ways to Notary Rotary and others, I suddenly get an e-mail from Docuserusa last Friday saying *hey, wow, we owe you a trip fee!!!*. Check for a whopping $25 finally received on June 5. From April to June 5--think twice about doing business with this company.
As a businessperson (which we all are), I am not turning a blind eye to what appears to be a small amount. That small amount constituted time and gas to and from borrower's only to have the signing cancelled by borrower about 20 min in. We have bills to pay too. I hope all of you aggressively pursue any $$$'s you have earned and to which you are entitled.
Good luck to you all and here's to the good signing companies who value us notaries. Thankfully there are more good one's than bad.

Someone said their check bounced - Made deposit of one of their checks 5/29, no reversal on acct. so I am assuming that it cleared. Checking every day though and not spending.

great......from dough to "Doh!" faster than you can say "don't work for Docuservusa". I hope both our checks clear. Thanks for the warning.

I have some due from them now but in the past they have always paid; although some payments have been slow. I'll see how they pay the present amounts due as I did send them a reminder notice. With them you have to send an invoice to "[e-mail address]".

I've done signings for Docuserv for quite some time now and never had a problem with them paying me. Their policy is 30 days and they've always paid.... except earlier this year and I didn't get paid until 60 days later. I've stopped signing for them also -- we already wait too long for our service to be paid and I don't like getting the run-around when I call and their bookkeeper keeps telling me that she needs to get it approved.

I had a closing I drove over 150 miles late at night. Was supposed to get paid $225. I sat at their house for 1 1/2 hours, then they closed.
Did you notice if your original fee printed on your confirmation? When I printed mine, the fee mysteriously dissapeared when I told my printer to "print" the confirmation. When I contacted the company I was told that I will get the full fee.
When it cancelled, I was told I would be paid in full. When I went back online to update after the closing, it was marked as $55 on the site. Again I tried to print it, but the fee wouldn't print.
I received a check for $55 marked "paid in full" on the reference line. I wrote "not paid in full" on the front of the check and the signature area of the back of the check before I cashed it.
When I called DocuServ, they said too bad--I cashed the check so I am accepting it as paid in full. I argued back and forth for many hours with them. BEWARE of THEM. IF YOUR CONFIRMATION DOESN't PRINT THE FEE, MAKE SURE THEY SEND YOU AN E-MAIL OR SOME VALIDATION OF THE AGREED UPON FEE.
