A polite request
Please keep Private Message replies to Posts to an absolute minimum: Use them if privacy is essential, but share information publicly. This Forum is a great place for discussions, even wildly differing opinions. Everyone learns when people share in Posts; only the recipient has the benefit when a Private Message is sent.
Thank you!

I agree. I need to learn from your problems and solutions. I have no idea who you are, so it doesn't matter what you say. Thanks.

I agree to a certain extent Ernest but...
because of the somewhat antagonistic approach of some individuals on this site I, for one, prefer the Private Message system so that I can answer some of the questions asked without the static that accompanies some posts. Some posts also become hijacked which can dilute their usefulness. Frankly it would be nice to have a discussion stay on topic without extraneous chatter to others such as sports information that is irrelevant to the conversations. Without the OT preceding the post it is frequently a waste of time to read each response especially when the respondent allows the original thread subject and then goes completely of topic. As one fine French author once put it "...this is the best of all possible worlds". Even with some of the negatives I still think this is the best notary forum there is: not that there isn't some room for improvement! I had a German governess when I was growing up and she had a favorite saying which most closely translated says,; "Good, better, best, never let it rest, until good is better and better is best!"

Charles
That was my first grade program piece. Learned then and NEVER forgot it. (I learned it in English, not German)

Re: Charles, ~ You know Dorothy that darn thing keeps
on running through my mnd, it made a huge impression on me as a child and then when I was in college I had a mechanical engineering professor who made us go through efficiency calculations until we had optimized system designs to the point where no more significant improvements could be made and he decided where that point was! I used to get so upset at his intransigence until I got out in the field and realized that he was right: I've been chasing efficiency ever since.

Point well taken...
...but I'm with Charles on this. I've been doing more private messaging so that I can keep things "short, sweet and professional". But I see your point, Ernest, and will definitely keep it in mind for future postings.

Speaking of Private Messaging...
...Michelle, did you send me a NotRot PM a few days ago? If so, I didn't see it until today as I hardly use that NotRot feature. I tried replying but it kept coming back with an error code & wouldn't let me post. If you would (AND if you're the Michelle who sent me the PM!) send me an e-mail & I'll be glad to answer your questions.
If you didn't send me a PM...as Emily Litella used to say, "never mind"!
