I'm glad you posted this today. I read recently that Broward, Bay and Orange Counties in Florida are ready to start receiving e-Recordings. If a Florida Notary wanted to purchase an electronic seal without going through the NNA, where could they go to apply and order an e-seal?

The NC SOS isn't the easiest SOS to get info from. Especially since she is an attorney that really would prefer that notaries not do closings. I'm sure one day they'll supply me with the information that I've requested.

Although NC's eNotarization program has been announced as "up and running in March 2007," notaries cannot sign up for it until April. The first course is scheduled for April 24, at which time the online registration page will also be active.

Lisa, you can use this link to print a paper form and send it in to register AND sign up for a course at the same time. NC SOS is planning to update the "under construction" pages on its website to provide this information to site visitors. I hope this at least gets you started in the right direction.
