AudioBooks

I've just discovered Audio Books! I'm sick of listening to cd's and the radio, so I thought this would be an alternative, and it turn out I like them. I joined SimplyAudioBooks, but you don't get enought books per month. Any audio rental places out there that have a good selection of sci-fi?

I still have a cassette tape player. Man oh man, those babies are dirt cheap. I have been listening to books on tape for years and loving them.

Go to your public library. Been doing it for years. Price...

is very reasonable, (free) and they have a great selection.
Choice of tape, CD and now I am even seeing them on i-pod type players
About the only real book reading I still do is on vacation
Brenda may still need 8-track. Don't see many of those any more.

I don't have a cassette player anymore. The library close by had no sci-fi, just best sellers.

If you haven't, you can ask if they have an inter-library loan system where you can have books/cds/dvds from other libraries in the network delivered to your local library. You also drop them off at your local library when you're done. It's very convenient and it's free (at least here in Napa/Solano as well as in the Sta. Clara area).

Re: Go to your public library - Best selection and

as Bob said, very best price. They can order selections for you. I've been doing all my "reading" like this for many years. Enjoy

Very funny Bob. I think you probably still wear brown leather sandals with tire tread soles. Those just never wear out, do they?

You betcha. The sandals go great with my pegged pants.....

with the buckle that holds my cheeks together.
