Certified and Background checked?
It seems that the NNA is pushing this training, is it another way for them to get money from us or is it really going to be nessary to get work? any input on this subject?

Trust your instincts...
Yep... NNA pushing/hyping because it's just another sorry way for them to get money from us while doing nothing for us.

Business has be fine this year, and some companies that want a background check still call me with jobs.
Don't waste your money on a BGC unless you really feel you need to.

Certified what?
Are people refering to being a 'certified' signing agent when they ask if you are certified or are they refering to a 'certified' background check? I'm always confused with what people are refering to when they use the word certified by itself.

Re: Certified what?
If they don't mention the word "background" then they aren't asking about BGC. To me, certified is just that, certified signing agent.

Re: Certified what?
I've already been asked for Background check information and I too thought it wasn't necessary... By year's end it will probably be an industry requirement from what I've heard.

Re: Background Check
I really wasn't concerned with the BGC because I was still getting assignments from my regulars. However when two of my 'regulars' folded, and I tried to get signings from new companies, their notary packets asked for the BGC info. I've since caved in and gotten mine here.
