Do we need 2 of everything?

I teased Sylvia about her double posting yesterday. And I'm glad she saw the humor in it.

But in many instances, 2 is better than one. I experienced that twice this week. With so many rush jobs to do, I found it helpful to have both of my computers and printers working at the same time. It definitely did help to get the jobs done. For one job yesterday I printed the originals with one computer and the borrower's copies with the other. It cut several minutes off the time it would have taken with just one. And it got me to the closing in time. Miraculously.

If any of you are considering a backup printer and computer, it could be a lifesaver. Especially at end of month.

Good luck.

I have 5 printers hooked to my pc, including my laser fax, and the other day I got these docs pretty late and I had to print a CW loan and it took me like 5 minutes to finish them all.

I regularly use two

printers. I send the job to the slowest printer first and as soon as it stops spooling I send it again to the fastest printer and they both end approx. the same time. Can't believe I did this business for 4 years with an HP 4+. I'm so much more productive now.

Re: I regularly use two

Yes, I utilize a HP4100 duplexer for the borrowers copy and if there is a rush, I use my HP4 SI to print out the signing copies. While those fun and games are happening...I print out the extra copies of RTC, TIL on my HP 2006n.

I have 4 computers, but generally my Dual core proc 4 GIG Vista system just handles it all

Re: Thank goodness for 2's

I was frantically hurrying to get to a last minute signing. The printer began printing 1 per 5 seconds instead of 20 per minute. If that wasn't bad enough, I checked the copies after printing about 40 pages and saw a wide light column extending down the center of most of the pages. My HP 3050 didn't even warn me that the toner was low. Murphy's law was working overtime.
But I have a cheap laser Brother backup and it worked like a champ and saved the day!
