Florida Will Dated 12/1971

Does anyone know when a notary became required for a Florida Will? Thanks.

Brenda Tucker, Realtor of Vero Beach?

If so, I closed one of your deals @ Coastal down town many years ago.

Notaries are not "required" for wills, but I'm not an attorney and can't go into this on a Notary Public board, but you should know this as a Notary. Please feel free to call me or refer to the FL Manual for your answer. Hint, hint...google "self proving" this might help you. Otherwise, find a Probate Attorney.

Yes and No

Whether or not notarial certification is required is spelled out in the Florida Statutes §732, specifically §732.503, and in the Florida Governor's Reference Manual for Notaries, pg 60.
