Google Maps on my Blackberry

I have a Garmin GPS. I even tried using it to learn Spanish and Hindi

But a free mobile phone alternative is at google.com/gmm. Just type in your location and it features a "live" turn by turn map and routing to your location. The drawback is you have to lQQk at it while you drive.

I'd rather listen to the nice lady inside my Garmin...

The downside to using these things is that I'm not always paying attention to where I'm going - a client asked the other day which way I drove - down this Route or the other. I had to admit that I wasn't sure - the Garmin I have doesn't call out the street names, it just tells me when and where to turn...

Still, these puppies are indispensable, especially when you're out in the middle of nowhere at night.
