Help! Thank you in advance...

First I have to gripe....these LO and title people just love to make mistakes and take their sweet time and then they think you have nothing better to do but to say how high when they say jump. They love to make a mistake and then try blaming it on you and then try to get you to do something illegal. UGGGHHH!

Anyways, I got a call on Wednesday for a loan..oohh..how fast can you get there they say. Only to sit around for 2 hours waiting for docs that never showed. Then on Thursday I get a call at 2 to go to the signing. I have to print docs and only one set comes through, waiting till the 2nd set gets to me. Got it and I'm ready to go. I get the job done (2 loans in 45 minutes) only to run over to Fedex just making it in time to send it off. All because of the LO's request.

Today he calls me all upset that there was an error on one of the deeds and how I should have caught that and that it was common sense that I should have called him (Mind you he griped at me 2 times throughout the day). And then he asks can I send him a copy of how I initial so he could put my initials on the for to make changes. AHHHHH....NO!!!!!!! Then he wants me to send over a jurat instead of an acknowledgment to correct the situation acdording to title. AHHHH...NOOO!! What they want to do I want advice on to make sure I do it right and reaffirm my stand on the situation is they want to change the first page of the deed to not include the wife. Then have the husband initial the fact that they are xxx'ing out the wife's signature on the last page and they want me to reissue an acknowledgement with just the husband's name. What do ya'll think??? Any help woul dbe much appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

why don't they just have a new deed sent out and signed?

Most brokers have someone in the office whom can notarize the deed.

Their mistake, they should fix it.

That's what I told them but according to the LO he doesn't want to have to go through the headache of it all because it will more than likely cause him to have to have docs reprinted. And that was a misery the first time! Ooohhh, poor guy! Smile

Just say no

What they're asking you to do is illegal - they can't change what you already notarized and ask you to send them a new acknowledgment. If they want it changed, let them redraw the deed and pay you to go out again to get it signed and notarized. You have no other options here.

Busyb are they sending....

Re: Busyb are they sending....

Larry,

No. They want to do it on their own and just have me either send in an new acknowledgment (actually they asked for a jurat and I said that's not right) or change the original one I gave them and initial the changes.

Without the LO or the Title Company you wouldn't have much of a business. We are all human and we all make mistakes. Unfortunately some people are not very gracious when they are caught. I understand the frustration and you should not work with the total jerks but the LOs and Title Comapnies are an integral part of this business and if you can work with them you wil reap benefits in spades.

Re: Help! I understand your frustration but...

I agree with you that they are my lifeline in the business but it's about time that someone wake them up and make them responsible. And not accept their nasty attitudes they get when something doesn't go their way. They get the chunk of the money and they want to treat us lilke crap. Just not right!

The "send your intials" thing....when I see something like that I think, "Uh huh...personality disorder...just one hair's breadth from a sociopath."

What else do you call that if not grandiose behavior?
